Running Muzak!

What music gets your toes tapping??

I've got my playlist for when I'm running, but have had the same songs for a while now so thinking of getting a few more to keep my mind entertained whilst I'm pounding the pavement.

So, thoughts on some good songs??

Here's a sample of what I have at the moment:

* Rocky soundtrack (nothing better!)
* Guns n Roses (suprisingly great to run to)
* Bruce Springsteen
* Michael Jackson
* John Denver - Thank God I'm a Country Boy
* Smashmouth
* Good Morning Vietnam soundtrack
* Um, there's more but can't think of them right now...

Any suggestions gladly welcomed! The key to a good running song is a good beat (reasonably fast) and upbeat lyrics - so no love songs and no songs that just groan on and on and on and on...

So suggest away please! :o)

  1. Jo says work out your pace in footfalls per minute and then go to www.clickmix.com. You can choose your tunes (and even the bpm to play them at!)

    I know that's not a suggestion of tunes, but that was Jo's answer, and she's the runner in our household. I can't run unless I have a ball at my feet.

  2. MXPX
    Or any other punk-rock =)
    The only problem I have when I go running with those guys is that I end up going out too fast then dying 3/4 of the way round...

    Foo fighters are also good!

  5. Try Sweet Home Alabama - and if you can get the live version, it is 8 minutes long or something. A great track to run to if you have an empty path or field!!
